Our Volunteer Program

Volunteers are integral to our program and play an important role in improving the quality of life for our patients. We provide extensive training to our volunteers so that they understand the art of dying and are able to guide and support patients and their family members through the last days of life.

Ways to Get Involved

You are welcome to contribute in ways that are meaningful for you and that you are comfortable with. Our volunteers provide companionship and support at home, offer support to families at the time of death, and provide assistance in the office. Explore the various ways you can get involved with hospice.

Direct Patient Care Volunteer
Visit our patients in their place of residence to visit and provide companionship, read aloud, play music, run errands, or help with household chores.

Administrative Volunteer
Provide general support in the office, such as helping out with special projects, mailing, answering the phones, or filing.

Fundraising Volunteer

Vigil Volunteers
When a person is actively dying, the Doula will call upon others, family members as well as volunteers, to sit vigil in attendance at the bedside until the person has died.
